To ensure the safe enjoyment of your event, activity or meeting it is essential that you arrange insurance cover for the participants and for the Club's property. You can do this quickly and easily.

 
 
 
 

What to do

The first step to arranging cover is to obtain a quote.

Simply call +353 (0) 1-632 6968 and provide answers to the following questions:

Name & Address of GAA Club and Contact Name
Name, Address & Contact Number of Hirer
Description of Event
What facilities will be used (pitch, hall, bar etc)
Estimated Attendance
Date and Duration of Event
Period of Cover

Download the enquiry form and fax or e-mail to Coyle Hamilton Willis. You will receive a call from Coyle Hamilton Willis within 24 hours. Please note our opening hours are 9AM to 5PM Monday to Friday.

Once cover has been arranged and payment received. Coyle Hamilton Willis will provide the Hirer with a Certificate of Insurance. This Certificate must be given to the Club prior to the event/activity/meeting taking place.

These insurance arrangements are essential for the protection of the participants and the Club and no event/activity can take place until cover is in place.

You can pay the premium over the phone using a credit or debit card or you can pay by cheque, made payable to Coyle Hamilton Willis, GAA Club Hirers Insurance, Grand Mill Quay, Barrow St., Dublin 4

 
 
WHAT's CovereD?

!. The Hiring of the GAA Club Premises by Individuals or Groups for any of the following activities

On a once off basis for social or fundraising purposes

Art Exhibitions
Cake Sales
Coffee Mornings
Fashion Shows
Lectures
Quiz Nights
Race Nights
Raffles
Dances
Discos

  Cheese & Wine Evenings
Bingo Sessions
Card/Casino Nights
Film Shows
Fetes/Sales of Work
Sports Days
Parties (21st, Weddings Barbecues Christenings,
    Engagement, Retirement etc).

Cover provided is for GAA property owners liability and Hirer public liability

2. On a regular long-term or continuous basis for sporting, social, keep-fit or non-mainstream educational purposes

Dance Teachers Music Teachers or other Teachers providing classes in their personal capacity. Non-GAA Sporting Groups or Bodies hiring the facilities for training or playing matches including groups of individuals (Social Sports Groups) not involved in structured leagues or sports. Aerobic or Keep Fit classes provided by individuals in their personal capacity. Groups (e.g. Social Clubs) hiring the premises for weekly or monthly meetings including Social/Fund Raising events.

Cover provided is for GAA property owners liability and Hirer public liability.

3. On regular long-term or continuous basis for commercial business purposes

Cover is restricted to the Property Owners Liability exposure arising in the course of the Hirers activity such as Bottle Banks, Clerical Office exposures, Beauty Salons, Gymnasia or Restaurants, Gymnasia with GAA Club supplied equipment, Car Park, Physiotherapists.

All long-term commercial/business users must provide evidence of their own adequate liability insurance. The onus is on the Club to ensure that all commercial/business users have adequate insurance arrangements in place.

Note: There will be no charge for any of the following activites:

  • meetings of Not-for-Profit Local Community Organisations such as Neighbourhood Watch and Residents Associations,
  • Cumann na mBunscoil and primary school activities
  • funerals and lunches.
 
 
WHAT's NOT CovereD?

In addition to the standard Policy Exclusions, the following list of activities will be deemed excluded unless agreed in advance on a case-by-case basis with Allianz by Coyle Hamilton Willis.
















Any event where the attendance exceeds 500 persons
Mechanical Rides and/or Amusement Devices/Fairgrounds/Machinery/
Circuses/Motorised Vehicles
Bouncing Castles/Inflatables and/or Trampolines
Motorised Sports/Racing/Aircraft or other Aerial Devices
Show Jumping
Horse Racing
Donkey Derbies or the use of Animals (other than domestic cats or dogs)
Bungee Jumping
Parachute Jumping
Abseiling or Rock Climbing or other dangerous activities
Rock or Pop Concerts
Fireworks Displays
Dances/Discos run on a commercial basis for the personal benefit of the Hirer or their Shareholders
Gymnasia with GAA Club supplied equipment involving more than 10 pieces of  health and fitness equipment
Any activity on the Public Highways
